20 Years of Vision.
Innovation. Impact.
From an idea created for kids in 2006 to a licensing opportunity built for the future.
What began in 2006 as a vision to create a fitness experience designed specifically for children and teens grew into facilities, youth-focused fitness equipment, nutrition and wellness programs, community outreach, media recognition, mobile fitness innovation and countless moments that helped shape the SuperKid Fitness story.
Today, that experience forms the foundation for a new generation of SuperKid Fitness™ licensed programs—giving entrepreneurs and community leaders an opportunity to help carry the mission forward.
Where It All Began
Long before youth fitness became the growing conversation it is today, Superfit Kids began with a simple belief: children and teens deserved a fitness experience created specifically for them.
In 2006, that vision came to life through a dedicated youth fitness concept combining movement, age-appropriate fitness equipment, interactive activities, structured programs, nutrition education and an environment designed to make healthy living engaging for kids.
It wasn't an adult gym adapted for children. The experience was built around them.

The Story Starts Making Headlines
Just one year after the vision began taking shape, the Superfit Kids / Meltdown Station concept was attracting attention beyond its own walls.
In 2007, The Miami Herald featured the youth fitness concept, documenting an environment for children and teens that incorporated youth-sized hydraulic fitness equipment, interactive activities and individualized training.
It provided an early independent glimpse into an idea that would continue evolving for years to come.

But the vision was never simply about building a gym.
It was about building healthier futures for children.Building Healthy Habits for Life
From the beginning, the mission reached beyond exercise.
Fitness, nutrition, confidence, education and positive reinforcement were brought together to help children and teens develop healthier habits—and discover that becoming active could actually be fun.
Programs expanded beyond traditional workouts to include interactive activities, structured classes, nutrition education, personal training and community outreach, creating different ways to reach young people.
Real Kids. Real Journeys. Real Impact.

From a Fitness Center to a Growing Movement
What began inside one youth fitness facility continued to grow into something much larger.
Over the years, the vision expanded through community outreach, schools, healthcare relationships, special programs, events and new opportunities to reach children beyond the walls of the original gym.
Superfit Kids continued developing ways to combine fitness, nutrition, education and fun—with one mission at the center of it all: Helping young people build healthier habits and greater confidence for life.

Recognized for Entrepreneurial Leadership
As the vision continued to grow, founder Ivette Cortiella was recognized among Florida's entrepreneurial leaders as a 2011 “Top 25 Women to Watch.”
The recognition marked another milestone in a journey that had begun just five years earlier with an idea centered on changing the way children experienced fitness.

The Story Reaches a Bigger Stage
What started as a vision for healthier, more active children continued attracting attention beyond the communities it served.
In 2017, founder Ivette Cortiella was interviewed on Worldwide Business with kathy ireland® about the Superfit Kids mission and its approach to helping children embrace healthier lifestyles.
The program was scheduled to air as sponsored programming on Fox Business Network and internationally on Bloomberg International.
It marked another milestone in a journey that had grown from an idea into a youth fitness concept with a story reaching audiences far beyond South Florida.

But the vision wasn't finished.
How could the experience reach children beyond a permanent fitness facility?
The Gym Starts Moving.
Years of experience in youth fitness helped shape another evolution:
Take the fitness experience directly to the community.
The concept was transformed into a mobile youth fitness environment, combining specialized equipment, interactive experiences and Superfit Kids programming in a format designed to travel.

A finished mobile experience designed to bring youth fitness directly into communities.
The Mobile Gym Launches
In February 2020, the vision became reality.
The completed mobile fitness experience began appearing at parks, events and community locations—demonstrating another way for the SuperKid Fitness mission to reach children beyond a traditional facility.
Historical planning materials envisioned the mobile experience traveling to places including parks, schools, churches, private events, malls and sporting venues.
And Then the World Stopped.
Just weeks after the mobile concept launched, COVID-19 changed daily life around the world.
Schools closed. Events stopped. Public gatherings disappeared. And a concept designed to bring children together had to be placed on hold.
Reinventing the Way the Mission Could Grow
Even while the mobile experience remained paused, the work behind Superfit Kids continued.
The concept was revisited, refined and developed around ways its programs and experiences could eventually reach communities through independent operators—not only through locations operated directly by its founder.
Years of operating experience, program development, marketing and mobile innovation began coming together around a new question:
What if the next generation of SuperKid Fitness wasn't built by one person—but by many?

The Next Chapter Begins.
The past twenty years were never simply about one building, one program or one mobile gym.
They were about learning what engages children, what families respond to, how youth fitness can reach communities in different ways—and how a mission can continue evolving without losing the reason it began.
Today, SuperKid Fitness™ enters its next chapter through a modern licensing system designed to give qualified entrepreneurs and community leaders a structured way to bring that mission into their own markets.

The History Has Already Been Written.
The Next Chapter Is Yours.
For twenty years, SuperKid Fitness has continued to evolve around one enduring mission: helping create healthier, more active futures for young people.
Now we're looking for the right people to help carry that mission forward.
